Porous fluorinated aluminum and mixed gallium/aluminum oxide pillared tin phosphate materials with acid properties
Article Abstract:
A 31P and 27Al magic angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy was used to investigate the fluorinated Al and mixed Ga/Al oligomers that have been intercalated into alpha-tin phosphate. Strong interactions were found to exist between the phosphate layers and the oligomeric guest species. Results also showed that porous materials with specific surface areas and acidic properties can be produced from the formation of Al and mixed Ga/Al oxide nanoparticle pillars in the interlayer region of the tin phosphate.

Isotopic exchange and vapor pressure isotope effect in tritium oxide adsorption on silica gel
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze isotopic exchange and vapor pressure isotope effect in tritium oxide adsorption on silica gel. Tritium concentration were examined against different amounts of water vapor adsorbed on and desorbed from a specific amount of silica gel. Results indicated that titanium concentrations were influenced by the vapor pressure isotope effect that minimized the concentration of tritium in vapor relative to the condensed phase.

Hydrogen bonding between acetone and silica gel, as studied by NMR
Article Abstract:
A study measured C nuclear magnetic resonance spectra and a number of relaxation parameters as a function of acetone loading level in acetone/SiO2 samples at 25 degrees C. Analysis of the peak position data in terms of acetone loading level and temperature yielded values of equilibrium constant, enthalpy changes and entropy changes that were consistent with results reported in previous experiments. Findings and conclusions are presented.
