Single-molecule nanoprobes explore defects in spin-grown crystals
Article Abstract:
Thin, platelike single crystals of p-terphenyl doped with terrylene impurity molecules could be prepared by spin-coating from solution. Observation of single terrylene molecules in a spin-grown p-terphenyl crystal at room temperature has revealed not only a population of extremely photostable molecules with fixed position and orientation, but also a surprising class of moving molecules.

Volatile diffusion character of cytoplasm
Article Abstract:
A crowding-based interpretation of the globally volatile diffusional character of microbial cytoplasm is described. This effect may be measured experimentally by directly tracking the trajectories of the individual macromolecules and also may be estimated indirectly from fluctuations in the amount of cytoplasmic water.

Effects of disorder in polymer morphology on spin diffusion
Article Abstract:
It has been demonstrated how the randomness in the distribution of the domains of one of the phases in a multiphase system influences the analytical solutions of the spin diffusion equation.
