Supramolecular coordination polymers: viscosimetry and voltametry
Article Abstract:
The formation of water-soluble coordination polymers was studied for a bifunctional monomer consisting of two terpyridin groups bridged by a poly(ethylene oxide) spacer. Viscosimetry and voltametry were used to study the formation of cadmium-based supramolecular coordination polymers and the results were interpreted using a theoretical model for coordination of polymerization into chains and rings.

Density functional theory calculation of (super 29)Si NMR chemical shifts of organosiloxanes
Article Abstract:
The (super 29)Si NMR chemical shifts of a variety of organosiloxane moieties including monomers or precursors for polymerization and representative segments of organosiloxane polymers or thin films is calculated using density functional theory. The calculated shifts of two linear dimethylsiloxane compounds compare well with their known values, having an average error of 3.4 ppm.

Article Abstract:
The study analyzed the modulation of the absorbance change in the bleaching spectral range of charge resonant (CR) absorption band. The modulation can be explained in terms of periodical change in the cross section and periodical energy shift of the CR transition.
