UV-vis spectroscopic determination of the dissociation constant of bichromate from 160 to 400 degrees centigrade
Article Abstract:
An ultraviolet-vis spectroscopic study revealed that the dissociation constant of bichromate decreases with temperature from 160 to 400 degrees centigrade. The molal concentration of HCrO4- for fixed Cr(VI) and KOH concentrations initially decreases with temperature, but decreases when the density of water decreases substantially. The (K+)(CrO(sub 4)(super 2-)) io pairs, the high degree of electrostriction about (CrO(sub 4)(super 2-)) and ion activity coefficients seem to be responsible for the decrease in HCrO4- at high temperatures and low density.

Anodic silicon dissolution in acidic fluoride electrolyte. A probe beam deflection investigation
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze silicon anodic dissolution in acidic fluoride medium in various regimes. Probe beam deflection and the mirage method were utilized to carry out the analysis. The silicon crystals were cut from the wafer and placed on holders. Experimental results indicated the effectiveness of the mirage technique in studying the electro-dissolution processes of silicon in acidic fluoride media.
