Chemistry of glycosylases and endonucleases involved in base-excision repair

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to examine the chemistry of glycosylases and endonucleases associated in base-excision repair. DNA repair enzymes need other enzymes to complete the DNA repair process. Alkylating agents associate with DNA to establish several modified bases while an array of enzymes maintain the DNA integrity and DNA repair mechanisms. DNA repair enzymes plays a major role in the cell that promotes a better understanding of various diseases such as cancer.

What is responsible for the initiating chemistry of iron-mediated lipid peroxidation: An update

Article Abstract:

The studies explains and studies various factors like the pH, chelating effects and the presence of oxidant substrates, which are found to be responsible for initiating the chemistry of iron-mediated lipid peroxidation (LPO). The analysis explores and simplifies the complexity of the chemistry of the system and provides better understanding of the mechanisms of LPO-related diseases.
