Chiroptical molecular switches
Article Abstract:
Developments in the construction of light-switchable molecules that effect changes in other optical, electrochemical properties are the alternative approaches to molecular switches. This review discusses the usage of the chiral supramolecular systems and stereoisomers of chiral photoresponsive molecules in the design of molecular switches by virtue of their light controllable chirality.

Three-dimensional optical data storage using photochromic materials
Article Abstract:
The review discusses development of bit-oriented multilayered optical memories with reference to synthetic photochromic materials. The ability of the photochromic materials to overcome the current memory density limitations make them useful as 3D memory recording media employing two-photon excitation property.
