Dendrimers containing heteroatoms (Si, P, B, Ge, or Bi)
Article Abstract:
The incorporation of silicon or phosphorus at the core of dendrimers increased the number of reactions and the number of possible applications of dendrimers. Phosphorus and silicon contribute greatly to dendrimer chemistry for the following reasons: a number of silicon or phosphorus cores can be used to allow the construction of dendrimers of various forms, very reactive groups can be anchored at the surface and the preparation of a number of metalladendrimers is possible because phosphino and diphosphino units are excellent ligands.

Quantum molecular dynamics of ultrafast processes in large polyatomic systems
Article Abstract:
Classical approximation concepts applied to a number of problems in chemical physics with moderate quantum effects are capable of simplifying the calculations. Mean-field approximation has been shown to be applicable for systems with good mode frequency separation and for ultrafast processes. It is predicted that these computational techniques will see increasing usage with the realization of the importance of quantum effects in large atomic and molecular system dynamics.
