Hyaluronidases: Their genomics, structures, and mechanisms of action
Article Abstract:
Review of the available knowledge about the structure and mode of action of human Hyal enzymes is presented and the common and distinguishing features of these families of enzymes are documented. The 3D models for the human Hyal enzymes provide insight into their catalytic mechanisms while they also indicate that these enzymes are very similar and differ only in their C-terminal domain.

Enzymatic mechanisms of phosphate and sulfate transfer
Article Abstract:
A brief idea is presented on what is known about nonenzymatic phosphate and sulfate transfers followed by a discussion on the kinetic and chemical mechanisms of enzymes that catalyze similar transfers. The determination of more X-ray structures has led to study of the isotope effect and pH studies on other enzymes that catalyze transfer of phosphate and sulfate groups.

Spectroscopic characterization of distortion in enzyme complexes
Article Abstract:
A description is provided of how distortion can be quantitated using vibrational spectroscopy and how it can sometimes be related to catalytic efficacy. Biophysical techniques and magnetic resonant measurements were used to probe for distortion within proteins and define distortion.
