Polyphenylene nanostructures
Article Abstract:
Various methods of synthesizing polyphenylenes of varying dimensionality have been studied. Polyphenylenes can have a crucial role in molecular electronics since they exhibit pi-conjugation and can self-assemble into various supramolecular patterns. The latter is useful when interfacing molecules with electronic circuits. This can be realized by using the tip of a scanning tunneling microscope or by placing suitable nanoelectrodes on an insulating substrate.

Twisted acenes
Article Abstract:
The structure of acenes or polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) like Naphthalene, anthracene, tetracene, and pentacene with a substantial degree of twisting deformation, which requires modest energy to bend or twist, is reviewed. Some of the acenes with their unusual structure could be used to construct porous solids while many acenes with their highly fluorescent property could be used for the construction of light-emitting devices.

Graphenes as potential material for electronics
Article Abstract:
The study describes and explains the synthesis, self-assembly and the device applications of the nanosized graphene molecules with different shapes, sizes and edge structures. The results show that the carbonization of the graphene molecules provides good control of the structures and electronic properties of the obtained carbon materials and can be used in several electronics and photonics.
