The fate of the haloacetates in drinking water--chemical kinetics in aqueous solution
Article Abstract:
Research shows that haloacetic acids are 99.99% dissociated to the carboxylate anions in potable waters. The ionic nature of haloacetates renders them relatively low in volatility and difficult to extract.
