Reflection absorption infrared spectroscopy and the structure of molecular adsorbates on metal surfces
Article Abstract:
Research investigates spectra of the small molecules adsorbed onto single-crystal metal surfaces obtained under ultra-high vacuum using reflection absorption infrared spectroscopy. Instrumentation details and data on molecular structure ranging from qualitative to ab initio electronic structure determination of chemisorbed molecules are discussed.

Fast protein dynamics probed with infrared vibrational echo expeiments
Article Abstract:
This review discusses the application of infrared vibrational echo technique for studying molecultar dynamics in myoglobin in relation to the dephasing of carbon monooxide at the protein's active site. Data on the protein-structural motions as influenced by the active site bound carbon monoxide via polar residue movements are presented.
