The cation-pi interaction
Article Abstract:
Gas-phase studies of ion-molecule complexes helped reveal the fundamental nature of the cation-pi interaction. Cation-pi interactions are prominent in a wide range of systems and was considered as an important and general noncovalent binding force. It was confirmed that cation-pi interactions are significant in various noncovalent binding forces that nature uses to assemble the molecules of life.

Organosilicon radical cations
Article Abstract:
Research published from 1989 to 1994 on the topic of organosilicon radical cations is presented. The prominent features of organosilicon radical cations and anticipated areas of future research are discussed. Data on numerous properties of organosilicon radical cations can be obtained through ESR/ENDOR measurements in solution and photoelectron spectroscopic gas-phase examinations.

Modern approaches to silylium cations in condensed phase
Article Abstract:
A review of silylium ion research conducted since Corriu and Henner's 1974 review of silylium ions is presented. The present review focuses on condensed-phase results. Much progress has been made since the 1974 review. The hydride abstraction reaction method, despite its limitations, has become the preferred method for attempting to generate condensed-phase silylium ions.
