CoreTech Consulting sells off SSI
Article Abstract:
The Support Services Institute (SSI) has been renamed as the Support Research Network (SRN) after it was sold by former owner, CoreTech Consulting Group. SRN has been restructured into a subscription-based service providing support-related research, expert opinion white papers, Web-based surveys and a journal. Ron Muns, the man who founded SSI, will remain as head of SRN but will keep his position as board director at CoreTech. The latter decided to sell SSI so that it can focus on its core consulting business.

DG spins off depot business
Article Abstract:
Data General Corp has spun off its Southboro, MA-based repair and logistics unit into an independent company called Repairiion. The new company is aiming to provide a global solution for the fragmented fouth- party repair market, particularly in Texas, Mexico and Holland. Repairiion will also continue to service the depot/logistics requirement of DG's service division.
