APAC Teleservices acquires ITI Marketing Services
Article Abstract:
APAC Teleservices Inc., a Deerfield, IL-based provider of outsourced customer service and sales, has forged a deal to acquire ITI Marketing Services Inc., a provider of customer capture and care solutions, in a cash and stock deal. The move, which is part of APAC's long-term strategy to create value for share owners, will make APAC the largest teleservices firm in the US, with over 14,000 workstations. The company will pay $155.2 million in cash in exchange for 100% of ITI's outstanding equity, with the transaction still subject to adjustments. APAC and ITI will reportedly continue to serve their respective clients separately. The company will consolidate certain functions as operating efficiencies are identified.

Williams Worldwide looks for major buyers
Article Abstract:
Williams Worldwide Inc., a Santa Monica, CA-based media agency, is reportedly discussing strategic relationships with some major companies in the media and direct marketing field. Industry sources regard the moves as an ongoing attempt by the agency to seek a buyer. A DRTV executive, meanwhile, doubts that a deal between Williams and a major media company will come about, citing that expertise in informercial media buying is regarded as a minor priority for major advertisers. Majority of ad agencies that previously rolled out informercial units in the early 1990s have since closed them down.
