B3TV, Dominos' pleased with test
Article Abstract:
Domino's Pizza Inc and interactive TV company B3TV have announced the success of their test campaign in Aug 1999. The test campaign allowed B3TV subscribers to order pizza directly using the Web TV device that connects a television to the Internet. The test was conducted during the Star Trek Next Generation Marathon on KBHK-TV Channel 44 in the Bay Area, which has a designed market of 6.2 million households. The study showed that 87% of the viewers preferred to place orders through interactive TV than the phone.
