MySoftware Partnership expands, targets small businesses

Pitney Bowes Inc. of Stamford, CT, and MySoftware Co. of Palo Alto, CA, are amplifying their partnership that began in 1997 by rolling out a pair of joint product promotions. In its September mailing, Pitney Bowes is offering a bonus "Business Builder Pack" to those small businesses and SOHo clients who sign ip for a 60-day trial of the Pitney Bowes Personal Post Office. The bonus pack is a CD-ROM that includes the firm's Mail Marketer and My Professional Marketing Materials. THe company has also formed a private label Web-site for its DirectNet mailing service that allows access to users of MySoftware products via a hotlink included in its software.

GeoTel signs deal with Carnegie Group

GeoTel Communications Corp., a Lowell, MA-based customer interaction software provider, has signed a consulting services agreement with Carnegie Group, an Anchorage, AK-based provider of client/software development services that integrate intelligent software technologies with existing computing infrastructures. Under the partnership, Carnegie personnel will be trained and certified on GeoTel's Intelligent Call Router platform so as to eventually provide systems integration and consulting services to the GeoTel software users. The move will reportedly help software customers maximize deployment and take advantage of a GeoTel investment.

American Tech, Comtrad to market car kit

American Technologies Group Inc. of Monrovia, CA, has forged a strategic partnership with Comtrad Industries of Midlothian, VA, to jointly market a deluxe car care kit. The car kit includes six proprietary products, including the airborne fuel additive called Force, that reportedly embodies innovative proprietary technology that enhances chemical reactions and processes. Meanwhile, slated for an October 1998 release are the first print ads followed by a direct mail catalog. Direct response television will likely be part of the campaign, but no definite DRTV spot has been decided yet.
