The company, which was established by Jacques Gatien in 1964 via a capital of $3,000, saw an average growth of 14% during the last four years, reporting sales of $110 million in 1997. The company, which also sells "As Seen on TV" items, also markets popular brands in Canada such as the Hertel line of household cleaning goods and the Starfrit line of household products. The latest brand that Atlantic Promotions is pitching is the Citrus Express, which it developed as an original product.

Mexican marketers ready rollouts

Mexican infomercial companies have enjoyed considerable success with products developed in Mexico. DRTV marketer R-Shopping of Hermosillo, Mexico, is projecting total sales of $15 million-$17 million, spurred by its biggest-selling product: the Eternity Lux line of cookware. Producciones Infovision SA de CV of Mexico City, is planning a relaunch of its most successful product, the Siluet 40 waising reduction cream, under an infomercial titled Silheut 40 2000. The company had sold more than 3.5 million jars of the product in Mexico and worldwide.

E-Media sees future in interactive ads, pay-per-view

Internet broadcasting company E-Media Inc of New Canaan, CT, uses streaming technology to deliver on-demand audio and video via the Internet. The company said that the technology would allow Internet pay- per-view events and interactive advertising in the future. E-Media's major client, WWF, uses streaming technology to Webcast wrestling matches and promote its upcoming events. The total market for streamed content is projected to reach $21.04 billion in 2008.
