Why cold BUR is hot now

Article Abstract:

Cold built-up roofing (BUR), a technology that was introduced in the late 1970s, is making a comeback in the year 2000. The roofing system, which failed to succeed during its initial run, has managed to address all of its previous shortcomings. Cold BUR systems have been mechanized in the application of both surfacing and adhesive. System manufacturers have also increased the availability of training programs to ensure the efficient and effective application of the roofing systems.
