Housing hopes falter again
Article Abstract:
Despite early signs that housebuilders could be selling more houses in 1996, figures for February show that sales were poor. The House Builders Federation says that over 400 firms saw activity fall in the first half of February, with total net reservations down over 4% from the same period 1995. The U.K.'s largest housebuilder Wimpey has reported its sales rate for the beginning of 1996 is similar to that of 1995.
