Can Prescott save the village?
Article Abstract:
The future of the 250 million pounds sterling Millennium Village, being constructed at Greenwich, London, will be decided by deputy prime minister John Prescott after he has had time to digest a report outlining difficulties surrounding the village's design and construction. Problems have occurred between the architect involved in the site and the developer, mainly focusing on the scheme's environmental and social aims. The village is not expected to be completed until well into 2000.
