The body in question
Article Abstract:
The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) are both considering serious management changes following financial problems for 1992. RICS made a loss of 737,000 pounds sterling for 1991-92. RICS changes include disbanding its 7 divisions by standing conferences which would meet twice a year reporting to a new 10-strong executive group. Quantity surveyors are concerned about their representation within the institution. RIBA wants to streamline its 58 committees.
