Cheoy Lee moving to new China site
Article Abstract:
Cheoy Lee Shipyards is moving to its new 15-acre construction facility in Dao Mun, China. The new facility includes a dormitory for workers, administrative offices, a 1,500-ton railway, a 250-ton mobile hoist and building and paint sheds. It enables Cheoy Lee to simultaneously build four 150-ft vessels. Meanwhile, Cheoy Lee Shipyards North America has named Gordon Thomas as its new president and has moved to new headquarters at the Bahia Mar Yachting Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Angler plans expansion, move to Hialeah
Article Abstract:
Angler Boat Corp, the Miami, FL-based fishing and recreational boat maker, is moving to bigger facilties in Hialeah, FL, in Jul 1999. Company CEO Elio Grillo, who established the company in 1973, said that the relocation is a reaction to increasing boat orders and would result in more jobs. Angler Boats, which provides employment for 115 individuals, is expected to need twice as many people if all sales projections are met.

New home for Mainship
Article Abstract:
Mainship Corp has moved to its boat manufacturing operations in a facility in Midway, GA, in Apr 2000. The boatbuilder, which makes trawlers and pilot express boats, is part of the Luhrs Marine Group (LMG) and previously produced its boats a the LMG facilities in St Augustine, FL. The company plans to move all its operations to the new 65,000-sq-ft plant, including offices and administrative staff.
