Article Abstract:
Architects are being given the opportunity to design shelves and internal fixtures for new homes at the 1999 Homes for the Future architectural exhibition held in Glasgow, Scotland. Many new homes are devoid of features such as shelves, which are an essential part of turning a house into a home. Architects used research to design shelving and furniture which would allow occupiers to store and display objects while maintaining a designer feel.
