Conde Nast Publications Inc has put its subscriber list for Lucky magazine on the market in Apr 2001 through Millard Group's list management division. Lucky, which is a monthly publictaion about shopping launched in Nov 2001, has more than 245,00 active subscribers. Its subscribers have a median age of 28 and a median household income of $55,00 annually. Selections on the Lucky list include recency, geography, source, paid and gender. The base price for the lis is $100 per thousand, with additional charges for selects.

iMarketing News to go weekly in 2000

Mill Hollow Corp announced that its monthly magazine on electronic commerce and Internet marketing, iMarketing News, will come out weekly beginning Jan 2000. Company founder and president Adrian Courtenay hinted that the periodical's per-issue ad sales were hitting two and three times than originally projected. Meanwhile, Nick Englezos, who has been with the company since 1996, has been appointed publisher of iMarketing News.

Publishers should be careful in renting out their list of subscribers to direct marketers. Cases of list abuse range from telemarketers who make money out of lists through phony renewals to direct markers who make inappropriate offers. Publishers should work closely with list managers and brokers to maker sure that list abuse is prevented from the very beginning.
