Article Abstract:
UK construction professionals who choose to work outside the European Union are likely to be able to largely avoid paying tax in the UK. There may be other financial advantages associated with working abroad. Those who work in Africa, for example, will generally receive a hardship premium of up to 25% greater than the equivalent UK salary, and those working in the less attractive parts of the former Soviet Union may be able to boost their salary by a similar proportion. Salaries in the Middle East are not as attractive as they were in the first half of the 1980s.

Package deal
Article Abstract:
Construction industry firms are being targetted by software houses hoping to increase sales in the single package enterprise resource management (ERP) market. ERP systems have been accused of being suitable only for large firms, although major ERP manufacturers are seeking to dispel this myth. Applications software vendors claim ERP is an expensive option, which is already being met by customized branded software packages.
