Don't fear the four-letter word 'test'
Article Abstract:
Few companies truly understand and actually conduct direct marketing testing. The only logical explanation for this omission is that they likely consider the word 'test' an unpleasant four-letter word. Yet the testing of direct marketing packages, when done correctly, will help firms decrease the number of pieces mailed and intentionally increase their return on investment. Proper testing will enable firms to determine what works or does not work and why in a real world setting.
