Family fortunes
Article Abstract:
Significant challenges face the UK's family-run building firms. They face the same commercial pressures as all other building firms, but must also deal with the additional pressures of family loyalties. Managers of family-run businesses often take a long-term view, but these businesses are also in danger of becoming complacent, relying too heavily on loyal employees and long-term links. Family-run businesses T&E Neville, Sapcote and Lindum Construction all seek to be outward-looking.

Article Abstract:

Many quantity surveyors feel that the traditional partnership has become outmoded.
