Mail-order houses in France are beginning to target adults ages 50 and above, who account for 35% of the Gallic population. Catalogs aimed at this segment are designed to capitalize on the segment's purchasing power, which at F800 billion ($133.3 billion) is 25% higher than those below 50. Catalogs targeted at this niche offer health products, apparel, leisure, beauty aids and therapies for illnesses of old age.
