French retail giant PPR puts 'Pere Noel' online

Pinault-Printemps-Redoute (PPR) expects sales to surpass $15.4 million in 1999. The conglomerate has established about 24 Internet sites for its different subsidiaries located in France and other countries. It has created PPR Interactive to make the existing PPR sites more visible and to devise ways to attract more traffic to these sites. PPR's first major project is mageos.com, which is a general site providing a variety of attractions to get visitors to avail of PPR products.

Ogilvy expands interactive resources
Article Abstract:
OgilvyOne has acquired Mediaquest, in its bid to further expand its operations in France. The consolidation will create a unit with 50 employees to offer consulting, creative, implementation and media services to such clients as France Telecom, Louis Vuitton, Nestle, Lotus and SmithKline Beecham. In line with the expansion move, the company is also creating an online IT services firm, called O Technologies.
