German publisher boosts turnover by 11 percent
Article Abstract:
Norman Rentrop, a global DM publisher of business information based in Germany and with holdings in the US and Eastern Europe, announced that it has increased its 1997 turnover by 11%, from DM 146 million in 1996 to DM 162 million. Most of the turnover increase can be attributed to the publisher's expansion of its core business. The company has major stakes in the Georgetown Publishing House in Washington DC, which issues the Global Trendletter; in Garret Communications in Rockville, MD, a publisher of BTB newsletter; and in Interactive Travel Management. The firm is presently targeting South and Central America, markets which are reportedly becoming more and more attractive as a direct marketing industry is emerging there.
