Glass conflict
Article Abstract:
The rebuilding of East Croydon Station in Croydon, England, which was completed in 1992, has produced a facility which can cope with up to 70,000 passengers a day. However, some passenger congestion does occur at peak times, and there is frequently traffic congestion in the short-stay car park. Floor surfaces can become slippery when wet, and this causes problems for disabled passengers. Many customers complain about the glare on the electronic information screens, and there are also serious problems associated with cleaning the building.

The rock
Article Abstract:
The 64 million pounds sterling National Museum of Scotland under construction in Edinburgh, Scotland, was designed by Gordon Benson and Alan Forsyth. The building is very powerful in design, and is on the monumental scale required for a national museum. Its most striking external feature is the Clashack sandstone cladding to the walls. Inside, gallery spaces have been planned as a set sequence tracing Scottish history.
