Group aims to protect access to public lands
Article Abstract:
The National Marine Manufacturers Assn and the Personal Watercraft Industry Assn have spearheaded the creation of a new organization called the Americans for Responsible Recreational Access (ARRA), which will ensure fair access to public lands. ARRA was created to counter efforts to restrict recreational access to public lands. Tom Crimmins, spokesman for ARRA, said proposed legislation will not only restrict access to truly pristine areas but to lands that have classified for multiple-use as well.
