HBG wins 240m pounds sterling Cardiff contract

A 240 million pounds sterling high-tech sports village in Cardiff, Wales, is to be constructed by a consortium headed by Phillips Projects UK and Dutch contracting concern HBG. The consortium will be major shareholder in a new public-private company, with Cardiff County Council holding a stake through the provision of land. The project will include an ice rink arena, a 17,000 spectator stadium, a sports clinic, a diving pool and a 250-bedroom hotel.
