IRA fills smaller list orders online

I Rent America (IRA) of Richardson, TX, a unit of KnowledgeBase, has made available online its AmeriLink database of over 175 million people so as to provide medium and small businesses the same level of service previously enjoyed only by large-volume clients. Data on Demand will enable businesses to build their own customized lists in real time. Users simply visit the Data on Demand Web site and click their way through specific list criteria. IRA is hoping to offer three tiers of service as the Data on Demand Web site is improved. The first tier will target small businesses with general list count functions; the second, branch offices of large corporation to tailor use of the Web site; and the third will present clients with list of choices geared to specific market based on analysis and other services.

GeoNeighboring Solutions (GNS), a subsidiary of Caldwell List Co., has devised a system to automate door-to-door analysis by incorporating prospect data in a database. GNS' database contains demographic information about its existing customers and the potential households located in their immediate vicinity. The information, which include household income,length of residence, age, dwelling type and presence of children, is incorporated into a list of 50 to 100 qualified leads for direct mail solicitation and follow-up telemarketing. GNS specializes in offering full-marketing services to vendors and supplying prospect data to list brokers and advertising agencies.
