Industry happy with support in Congress
Article Abstract:
The National Marine Manufacturers Assn (NMMA) says it is very pleased with the support that the marine industry is getting from the 106th Congress. Among the Congressional measures lauded by the association are the repeal of the sunset provisions in the Vessel Hull Protection Act of 1998 and a one-year extension of the corporate average fuel economy standards. However, despite several legislative victories given to the industry, the NMMA stresses that there are still many more important industry issues that need to be addressed by Congress.
