Island Packet dealers get warranty powers

Island Packet Yachts has given its Golden Wrench Award to six boat dealers, which would allow them to do warranty work without prior approval from Island Packet. The six dealers are Island Yachting Centre, Palmetto, FL; Gratitude Yachting Center, Rock Hall, MD; Pierce Yacht, Boothbay Harbor, ME; Suncoast Yacht Sales, San Diego, CA; Navy Point Marine, Sackets Harbor, NY; and Schrader Yacht Sales, Point Pleasant, NJ. The Golden Wrench Award was initiated to speed up response time and improve the overall experience of boat owners.

W. Burch Perry

Edenton, NC-based Albemarle Boats, a manufacturer of sportsfishing boats in a 24- to 32-foot range, has appointed W Burch Perry as its vice president of sales and marketing. Perry will continue to be responsible for all sales operations, having served as sales manager since 1997, as well as marketing strategies. The new position was reportedly created specifically for Perry in recognition of his achievements.
