Article Abstract:
Construction contractor James Longley and Co is responsible for the reconstruction of Chelsea Football Club's Stamford Bridge ground in London, England. The company has encountered a number of challenges with this project, particularly the fact that it cannot work while the football team is playing at home. The 32 million pounds sterling Chelsea Village element of the project, which involves a nine-storey and two four-storey apartment blocks, a 160-bed hotel, offices and the redevelopment of the Shed stand, has run slightly behind schedule.

Article Abstract:
Luton Town football club is working on the design for a stadium which will be used all year round. This will feature a grass pitch which is made up of strips and can therefore be easily removed if necessary. It has linked with sports stadium architect KSS Sports and Leisure Design for the scheme, which it hopes will be situated on the outskirts of the town. A public enquiry is due to finish shortly, and a decision is expected from the secretary of state in 1997.
