Meet the new boss
Article Abstract:
Plans to incorporate a running track as part of a 120 million pounds sterling lottery improvement scheme at Wembley National Stadium have been strongly condemned by chief executive of the sports ground Bob Stubbs. The National Stadium will not be the focal point of any bids made by the UK to hold athletic events, therefore a track is unnecessary claims Stubbs, whose main priority is to prepare the stadium for the possible staging of the 2006 World Cup. Plans to relocate the headquarters of the Football League to Wembley would result in extra hotel facilities and offices having to be built.
