NRCA: building owners beware of purchasing roof materials
Article Abstract:
Buiding owners are advised to purchase roofing materials directly via their roofing contractors. The advice, given by the National Roofing Contractors Assn (NRCA), is aimed at avoiding potential problems regarding the compatibility of materials, on-site job coordination and safety. The NRCA adds that professional roofing contractors, who deal with makers of roofing materials on a daily basis, are in the best position to give advice on the most efficient materials available in the market.

NRCA favors skilled workforce bill, testifies to U.S. House subcommittee
Article Abstract:
The National Roofing Contractors Assn (NRCA) has underscored the importance to the roofing industry of a bill that would give small businesses tax credits for training employees in highly skilled trades. The NRCA is strongly in favor of Congressional adoption of the proposed Skilled Workforce Enhancement Act. However, it noted that the bill must be approved by the House Ways and Means Cmte before the House votes on it, and this may not occur until late in 2000.
