Article Abstract:
Cedar shakes and shingles produced by Western Red Cedar are the most popular form of roofing material in the US. The shakes and shingles are straight grained and pitch-free. The advantages of cedar are: its strength; lightness; non-reaction to moisture; it has a high level of impermeablility; can withstand high wind uplift; it is hail resistant; provides thermal insulation and can reduce construction costs because of its lightness. Cedar needs to weather for 12 months before tretament.

The experiments conducted at the University of Wisconsin on Matthieu Ricard, a Buddhist monk, showed that during meditation Ricard's brain showed greatly increased activity in left middle frontal gyrus an area tied to joy and enthusiasm. Researchers believe that some religious disciplines are not just articles of faith but ancient methods of neural transformation.

Article Abstract:
New gas installation safety measures will benefit British gas consumers. The HSE has approved a further three years of the Council for Registered Gas Installers (CORGI). CORGI will continue to operate a gas installation business register and will also provide a register of individual gas fitters who must hold an accredited certificate.
