O-Cedar cuts response time, talk time

Article Abstract:

Household cleaning products manufacturer O-Cedar Brands Inc of Springfield, OH, has installed a call center management technology called Universal Queue from Synchrony Communications Inc of Cincinnati, OH. The Universal Queue system allows call centers agents to access information online using knowledge-based management technology, thus, eliminating the need for customer service representatives to search reference binders and catalogs. Synchrony charges $500-$600 monthly per employee for the hardware, software and service.

Dash unveils targeted advertising tool

Dash.com, a New York-based start-up, hopes to help advertisers target prospects via its new shopping tool called DashBar application. Currently in beta testing, DashBar will help advertisers run an announcement at the bottom of a shopper's screen offering. Customers can download the browser plug-in from the Internet and integrates it with their Web browsers to avail of discounts, promotions and rebates.

Swissair begins e-mail campaign

Article Abstract:

Swissair started its first e-mail campaign to promote its new online booking system that lets consumers purchase tickets based on price instead of the date or time of the flight. The e-mails, which also promote the discounted flights between American and Swiss destinations offered by the carrier, were sent to the Zurich, Switzerland-based company's in-house database of 150,000 subscribers.
