Article Abstract:
Delamination caused by high moisture movement is the main defect suffered by composite metal panel cladding. Delamination causes blisters and bumps all over a building and panels can become detached. Delamination is caused by water penetrating into the panels through the joints which breaks down the glue. Insulated panels are usually twinned skinned with a foam insulant. Thin steel and aluminium are the most popular type of material used. Other materials used are vitreous enamel, glass reinforced plastic and glass reinforced cement.

Article Abstract:
Matthew Hall, the M&E subsidiary of Amec, has reorganised its business by dividing its core business into two, building services and facilities services. It is also seeking to expand from its traditional southern base. Director Mike Burgoyne believes that more should be done to educate clients to use M&E firms as main contractors.
