Public relations efforts must be focused

Article Abstract:

Public relations has the potential to reduce the cost of marketing, particularly in the healthcare industry, in a dramatic fashion. To make full use of the potential of public relations, however, requires the use of individualized messages that will convey the most appropriate information to its intended recepients. Public relations intiatives should begin with an understanding of the target audience and it should be capable of making full and effective use of special events for maximum coverage.

A healthcare public relations agency called Shire Hall has been formed by WPP Group subsidiaries CommonHealth and Shire Hall Group. Shire Hall will offer services such as media relations, pre- and post-launch marketing communications and professional and advocacy relations in the US and overseas. It will also introduce Shire Hall Grou's medical-education communication model in the US. CommonHealth has parternships with CIA Medianetwork, Pedagogue Solutions, SoftWatch and Medical Broadcasting Co.
