Pure-plays offer better service, study finds
Article Abstract:
Pure-play or Internet-only retailers outperformed their brick-and mortar counterparts in Dec 2000, in serving customeres online. A survey of 30,000 Web users was conducted in December by Nielsen/NetRatings and Harris Interactive. The study revealed that pure-play Internet retailers ranked higher in online customer satisfaction than traditional companies did. The four companies that were ranked on top of the list were Internet-only retailers led by Amazon.com.
