St John's mission to Birmingham
Article Abstract:
Making architecture more user-friendly and accessible to the public is the main aim of the UK Royal Fine Art Commission (RFAC), which visited the city of Birmingham in October 1998. The RFAC chairman Lord St John of Fawley was pleased to be getting involved with architecture at street-level, claiming the visit was inspirational. The RFAC has given it's backing to a multi-user tower development which will cost about 300 million pounds sterling.
