Stall order
Article Abstract:
The new covered market being built in Derby, UK, will be much safer than the original Eagle Centre Market, which was ordered to close by fire officers in 1992. The old market was made up of interlocking hexagonal-shaped stalls, whereas the new market is based on a rectangular grid with wide aisles between stalls, thus providing well-defined escape routes. The new market also offers safety features including automatic sprinklers and smoke vents. Design-and-build contractor for the 5 million pounds sterling project is Conder Projects.

Chance is a fine think
Article Abstract:
Firms having trading difficulties often believe that receivership or liquidation is the only option, according to an insolvency practitioner. However a company voluntary arrangement (CVA) can enable the company to continue trading free of existing debts, by paying back its debts over a period of up to five years. The case study of a CVA at a young heritage company is described.
