Article Abstract:
The newly opened Legoland in Windsor, Britain cost 85 million pounds sterling and three years to build with 300 million Lego bricks. Key activity areas include the Imagination Centre, Miniland, Duplo Gardens, My Town and the Wild Woods. Education is focused on and children are allowed to play with Lego and Duplo in specially glazed rooms so that their parents can watch them in comfort. Legoland has been built in the grounds of Windsor Safari Park.

Architect BDP worked with Prudential, an insurer, on a new shopping centre near Bristol, using information technology to achieve productivity and competitiveness. BDP established its own data exchange system whereby files can be transferred into a central outfile which each member of the design team can access.
