The company said that call volume shot up from 300-400 calls daily to 1,000 calls.

USATalks' campaign promotes low-cost intranet phone service

USATalks.com of La Jolla, CA, says its Intranet-based telephone service is cheaper than traditional telephone service and is more reliable than Internet-based services. The service has already been launched in 200 US cities and is expected to be available in 300 to 350 cities by Oct 1999. The company is using inbound and outbound telemarketing to promote the service.
