Nutley, NJ-based Hoffman-La Roche Inc's personalized, direct mail effort of its Xenicare promoting its new weight-loss drug Xenical attracted strong response. The direct mail campaign, created by Cary, NC-based Micro Communications Inc, aims to help patients follow their medication regimens and overcome their individual barriers to weight loss. Xenical works by blocking the absorption of dietary fat and is ideal for patients who weigh at least 30% over their ideal body weight.

Compaq set to launch direct online sales in Europe
