Yacht Center expands with 3rd outlet on Bay

The Yacht Center dealership opened a third outlet at the Baltimore Marine Center, Canton area, MD, to expand its number of locations in Chesapeake Bay to three. The latest facility features a sales office with 22 slips and a service department with 2,800 sq ft of space. The dealership has scheduled its annual customer rendezvous at the new location in Jul 2000, when a grand opening ceremony will be included in the festivities. Yacht Center's other locations are in Annapolis, MD, and Hampton, VA.

Delaware, Puerto Rico get new West stores
Article Abstract:
Watsonville, CA-based boating supply retailer West Marine has expanded its presence in the Chesapeake Bay region with the opening of a new store in Bear, DE, in Apr 2000. The largest US retailer of boating supplies has also announced the opening its first store in Puerto Rico, an 8,000 sq-ft facility in the city of Fajardo, which is one of Puerto Rico's boating centers. The new Delaware and Puerto Rican outlets will increase West Marine's total number of outlets to 231.

Yacht Center opens Hampton, VA., outlet
Article Abstract:
Yacht Center of Annapolis, MD, a dealer of Bayliner and Maxum brands of sportyachts ranging in size from 33 to 57 ft, has unveiled a new outlet at the Salt Ponds Marina in Hampton, VA. Company Pres Mark A. Schulstad sees the Hampton facility as a perfect complement to their Annapolis location, a site that opened in 1996. Both facilities will continue to offer previously owned vessels as well as brokerage services in addition to Bayliners.
